We are delighted to announce that SKRUM has been chosen by the British Society of Magazine Editors as Charity of the Year 2019.
Alex Mead, Chair of the BMSE and Editor-in-Chief of the Rugby journal, is a long term supporter of SKRUM’s work. On appointing the charity Alex said “SKRUM’s work in fighting the spread of HIV in Swaziland, a country with an infection rate of 28%, is phenomenal, they’ve found a unique way of connecting with the local community in which they are truly embedded. It’s a wonderful cause that I know the BSME and its members will do everything they can to support”.
BSME’s fundraising for SKRUM kicks off at their Talent Awards Party on Monday 10thJune and culminates in a gala dinner in London on November 19th.
The BSME is the only society in the UK exclusively for magazine and website editors and senior editorial staff. ‘Championing Editorial Excellence’ it aims to represent the needs and views of all editors. https://www.bsme.com
